China Requires Censorship Software on New PCs - NYTimes.com

on the tianamen anniversary 4th of june, certain websites in china put themselves out of service, to implicitly commemorate the tragedy, such method ironically might have been inspired of the official 5.12 sichuan earthquarke commemoration, orchestred by CCP.

generation-Y chinese, because of the country on-going expansion economics and government general policy to "omit" certain undesirable facts, are often ignorant of....., received a distorted image of CCP past deeds.

it is understandable if it is within a corporation, or a small village, if u want to get rich under my turf, u better play my game.... but for a 1billion+ people nation striving to be sophisticated society?

it is an ongoing struggle, from corruption charge against shenzhen governor to internt cersorship, it is beyond a simple citizen vs big gov. struggle, the issues range from nationwide integrity, such as regional vs central gov., a growing population of middle class trying to break thru and the significant remaining under a dollar a day poverty pop.

this is the breaking point of CCP control, the 200m china internet users, who are they? it is likely to have a large percentage of gen-Yer, so where and who is china trying to put their grip at?

it seems that it is gen-Y, and relatively welloff coastal regions, it was a decade, Shanghai corruption charges, now it is Shenzhen, who is shocked of corruption in china? the real question is why prosecution there and not somewhere else?

because those are the first to get rich as chairman Deng Xiaoping famously said, "let some people get rich first"....... and thus they did.

now like the ancient roman, first they fought for their fortune, then they needed to establish the law to guard their fortune, that implies reform. but all CCP can offer is prosperity, economic, materialism prosperity, and solemnely that.

internet censor is CCP fear talking, fear driven by fear, this might be the beginning of back to communist days, all surveillance, stalinist method. if everything said and done in the internet is archived, it can be used, out of context, maybe 10yrs later, to charge whatever CCP fancy.

so as Einsten said:" If A is a success in life, then A equals x plus y plus z. Work is x; y is play and z is KEEPING YOUR MOUTH SHUT."
